CMMS Excel Template
A maintenance workbook for machines: machine list, PM schedule with next due dates, work order log, parts list and a KPI sheet. The Machines sheet imports into the free CMMS app.
Maintenance KPI Tracker Template
Type a month of maintenance numbers and track MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, planned maintenance, backlog and cost against replacement asset value over 12 months, with charts.
Autonomous Maintenance Checklist
The operator's daily and weekly clean, inspect, lubricate and tighten checks for 10 machine types, with a timed sign-off and a red tag log. Edit in the browser, or download the Excel and PDF.
OEE Calculator in Excel
The OEE calculator as a workbook: one machine, up to 20 machines combined the right way, and what one OEE point is worth. Formulas built in, no macros.
Free CMMS App
When a sheet is not enough: a maintenance calendar, work orders, PM plans, machines and OEE in one free app that runs in your browser, with no account.
How the sheets fit together
The downtime log is where every stop gets written down: the machine, the reason and how long it lasted. After a week or two its Pareto shows which few reasons account for most of the lost time, and that list is what a maintenance or improvement meeting should start from.
The OEE tracking template turns the same shift into one number per shift. It takes planned time, downtime, output and good units, and works out Availability, Performance, Quality and OEE, so you can see whether a fix to the top downtime reason moved the result.
The preventive maintenance checklist is where the fixes become routine. When the log shows the same breakdown coming back, the check that would have caught it goes on the checklist with an owner and a frequency, and completion is ticked off as it happens.
What is in each sheet
Downtime log. One row per stop: the date or shift, the machine or line, the reason, a loss category and the minutes lost. The categories are breakdown, setup and changeover, minor stop, reduced speed, and startup or material, so the totals roll up to the six big losses, and the Pareto ranks reasons by lost minutes as you type.
OEE tracking template. One row per shift or run with five measured inputs: planned production time, downtime, total units, good units and the ideal cycle time in seconds. It returns Availability (run time divided by planned time), Performance (ideal cycle time times total units, divided by run time), Quality (good units divided by total units) and OEE, the product of the three.
Preventive maintenance checklist. One row per task: the task, the equipment or asset, how often it is due, who it is assigned to, and a tick when it is done. The completion figure shows the share of tasks ticked off.
Maintenance work order template. One form per job: the machine and its tag, the problem, the cause found and the work done, the parts and labor with their cost, and sign-off. The Excel file adds a work order log with one row per job, so every job, its downtime and its cost sit in one list.
CMMS Excel template. A workbook for running maintenance in Excel: a Machines sheet whose columns match the free CMMS app's import, a PM schedule that works out the next due date and flags what is overdue, a work order log with days open, a parts list and a KPI sheet with open work orders, overdue PMs, PM compliance, downtime and MTTR. Blank PDF forms of the PM schedule and the work order log come with it.
Maintenance KPI tracker. One row per month with the raw numbers a maintenance team already has: planned hours, failures, repair hours, PM tasks due and done, maintenance hours, backlog and cost. It works out MTBF, MTTR, availability, PM compliance, planned maintenance percentage, backlog in crew weeks and maintenance cost as a percent of replacement asset value, and charts them over 12 months.
Autonomous maintenance checklist. The operator rounds of total productive maintenance: daily and weekly clean, inspect, lubricate and tighten checks by machine type, each with what abnormality to look for, a sign-off with initials and time, and a red tag log for the problems found. It prints one page per machine.
Which one to start with
If nobody writes stops down today, start with the downtime log: a week of honest entries tells you more than any estimate. If stops are already recorded but nobody knows whether the line is getting better, start with the OEE sheet. If the same breakdown keeps coming back, start with the checklist. If maintenance lives in scattered sheets and nobody can say what is overdue, start with the CMMS Excel template, and once a few months of numbers exist, track them with the maintenance KPI tracker.
What every template does
Each template runs in your browser, with no signup and no account. It starts with sample rows so you can see how it works. Download the Excel file for a workbook with the formulas built in, the PDF to print and fill by hand, or export what you typed to CSV. What you type in the browser stays in this browser on this device, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to leave your email.
If you want the numbers without a sheet, the OEE calculator, the downtime cost calculator and the preventive maintenance ROI calculator answer the same questions in one screen, and the free OEE tracker and the free CMMS app keep the history over time. Every tool is listed on the tools page.
