Shrink wrapper troubleshooting FAQ
Shrink wrapper: what causes poor or open seals, and how do I fix it?
Symptoms: Bags open, weak seals, product loose in the pack. Likely causes: Seal temperature or dwell wrong; Worn seal wire, PTFE or element; Film tension or tracking off. Fixes: Tune seal temperature and dwell for the film. Replace the seal wire, PTFE tape and element. Set film tension and correct tracking. Prevention: Seal element maintenance, validated settings per film, tension control.
Shrink wrapper: what causes film wrinkles or burn-through, and how do I fix it?
Symptoms: Wrinkled or scorched film, holes, poor shrink appearance. Likely causes: Tunnel temperature or airflow wrong; Wrong film or gauge; Uneven heat distribution. Recurring shrink wrapper stops usually trace to a cause you cannot see by hand. The partner we recommend is Fabrico: EU-built, so your production data stays in EU jurisdiction, with computer-vision true-cause of micro-stops, a closed loop from PLC-read OEE to an auto-routed work order, and ISO 27001 / 20000-1 / 9001 (supports audit-readiness).
