Privacy & Data
The short version: the tools are free, we only ask for an email if you want a report, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Nothing to use the tools. The calculators, the troubleshooting directory and the guides work without any sign-in. Calculations run in your browser.
- Your email, only if you submit a form. When you ask us to email a report or benchmark, we collect the email address you enter, and any figures you chose to include (for example the inputs to a calculator) so the report is relevant.
- Basic, privacy-respecting analytics. Aggregate page-view data so we know which tools are useful. We do not build advertising profiles.
How we use it
- To send the report or benchmark you requested, and occasional related updates you can opt out of at any time.
- To improve the tools and content.
- We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not add you to a sales sequence automatically. A real person reviews enquiries.
The AI troubleshoot assistant
When you ask the AI assistant a question, your question is sent to a language-model provider to generate the answer. Please do not enter confidential or personal information into it. If the assistant is unavailable, the page falls back to searching our open directory in your browser.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in it, at any time.
- Access or deletion: email us and we will remove your details.
