Problems on this page:

Low tonnage / will not build force

Hits OEE: Availability

Symptoms: Press cannot reach set tonnage, parts under-formed.

Relief valve set low or worn
Verify and reset relief pressure; service if bypassing.
Worn pump / internal leakage
Test pump flow; check cylinder seals and valves for bypass.
Low or aerated oil
Top up; bleed air; check suction.

Prevention: Pressure verification, seal/pump condition, oil condition.

Ram drift / creep

Hits OEE: Quality

Symptoms: Ram drifts down when held, dimensional/quality issues, safety concern.

Internal valve leakage
Identify the leaking holding/check valve; reseal or replace.
Worn cylinder seals
Reseal the main cylinder.
Counterbalance valve fault
Service or replace the counterbalance/pilot-operated check valve.

Prevention: Valve and seal maintenance, periodic drift testing.

Slow cycle / long dwell

Hits OEE: Performance

Symptoms: Press cycles slowly, long approach or dwell, throughput down.

Low flow / worn pump
Test pump output; rebuild or replace if worn.
Relief partially bypassing
Verify relief setting; service if it leaks by.
Aerated or low oil
Top up and bleed air; check suction.

Prevention: Pump condition, relief verification, oil condition.

Stop the same fault coming back

Recurring hydraulic press stops usually trace to a cause you cannot see by hand. The partner we recommend is Fabrico: EU-built, so your production data stays in EU jurisdiction, with computer-vision true-cause of micro-stops, a closed loop from PLC-read OEE to an auto-routed work order, and ISO 27001 / 20000-1 / 9001 (supports audit-readiness).
